This study examined Academic Dishonesty among secondary school students in Makurdi Local Government Area. The study employed a cross sectional survey design. 250 participants were selected using simple random sampling technique. The participants were 141 males and 109 females with a mean age of 16.2 years. The Eze Nwonke dishonesty scale (2011) was used to sample the opinions of respondents. Three hypotheses were formulated and tested using independent t-test and One- Way ANOVA. Findings revealed a significant sex difference on academic dishonesty among secondary school students [t (248) =2.73; P<.05]. It was also found that religion significantly influenced academic dishonesty among secondary school students [F (2,247) =5.09; P<.05]. It was lastly found that parents educational status significantly influenced academic dishonesty among secondary school students [F (2,247) =10.51; P<.05].the researcher therefore recommended that all stakeholders in the educational sector should step up campaign against the dastardly act (academic dishonesty). This will help to restore sanity in the educational system and instill in students the virtue of academic integrity.
